Victoria Evans has nearly 20 years’ experience in PR and communications in the UK and Australia, spanning sectors including wine and spirits, small business, luxury lifestyle and not-for-profit.
I've worked with brands from family-owned wineries and global drinks brands to small businesses, membership groups and not-for-profit organisations brands that lobby for change.
Whatever the focus, I work closely with clients to achieve their goals through targeted, bespoke communications strategies.
A dual UK-Australian citizen, I have experience in both countries. I was President of the South Australian chapter of the Public Relations Institute of Australia from 2018-20. I hold an undergraduate degree, a CAM Advanced Diploma in Marketing & Communications (CIM) and a WSET Level 2 Diploma (Distinction).
Specialisms include:
PR and media relations: Developing and implementing strategic PR campaigns, media relations, client management.
Copywriting: press releases, thought leadership articles and comment, social media content, web and newsletters, awards submissions.
Other marketing services – influencer engagement, event organisation, project management, partner and sponsorship negotiation and management, social media management.
I love the power of the written word, identifying where a story lies, and crafting it into something that will resonate with an audience.
Whether it's through a media release, succinct social post, blog piece, web copy, thought leadership article or company report, I get under the skin of the brand's tone of voice to share that story in a genuine and compelling way to its target audience.
It may be through owned channels or public platforms including the media, but it's about nailing the message, getting the right tone, and influencing others to behave or think differently, or simply seeing the value of a product or service and keen to find out more.
Having worked in both the UK and Australia, I've secured media coverage in titles including the Financial Times, The Guardian, The Times, Daily Telegraph, Management Today, Sky News and Marie Claire (UK), and The Australian, Fin Review, Adelaide Advertiser, InDaily, ABC Radio to name a handful.
I'm all about offering lean, savvy communications strategies that are right for your organisation. Minus the fluff and the waste, less ego, honest advice and more bang for your buck.
If you want to spend half your annual marketing budget on an agency that will develop beautiful looking strategies that could win a design prize, whilst wowing you with confusing marketing jargon, then I'm probably not the person for you. And if you want to be associated with the latest PR influencer who spends their entire day promoting themselves on LinkedIn and Instagram, I'm probably not for you either.
But if you do want someone who can deliver honest, affordable PR services that will reach your audience, get in touch!
"Victoria came onboard to help my wife Bec Hardy and I after we took over the Pertaringa wine brand in McLaren Vale from Bec’s Dad on 1st July 2020. In an already challenging year, Victoria did an amazing job in telling our story and helping us get the new branding and message out to the wider community. She took the time to really immerse herself in the family and company history in order to truly understand our business. She continues to generate a variety of positive news articles and features for Bec Hardy Wines and we’d highly recommend her services to anyone who needs a bit of help with their PR and communications," Richard Dolan, Bec Hardy Wines
“From features in SmartCompany to interviews with ausbiz TV, Victoria is generating lots of positive PR for Teamgage. Her advice is always open and honest, and we appreciate her flexibility on things like time, budget and areas of focus each month. This is invaluable for a company our size where the help we need alternates between planning, copywriting, media liaison and placement at various points of the year. We already recommend Victoria to our friends in business and we recommend her to you too,"
Ben Smit, CEO and Co-founder, Teamgage
“We are often asked who does our PR, as VEPR have our business regularly featured in state and national media. In addition to how effective they are at their craft, they are also incredibly friendly and easy to work with. I have no hesitation in recommending them,” Jessica MacDonald, Yanun Project Services
